You can use this service to measure a neighbourhood's relative credit worthiness, based on the historical credit behaviour of its residents.
This service will help you to:
GeoRisk uses aggregated depersonalised credit information. GeoRisk allocates a value of between 1 and 10, based on the relative credit risk of each neighbourhood.
You will require a valid residential address, postcode and State, with DPID if available. If your database doesn't include DPIDs for residential addresses, we can supply software to remedy this before you use the service.
You will receive information added to each matching record to show the relevant GeoRisk information.
As a user of this or other data products, particularly those that may involve use or disclosure of personal information, you would need to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 and other applicable data protection and privacy legislation.
Each household is allocated into a band between one (high risk) and ten (low risk) based on consumer credit behaviour of its neighbourhood. GeoRisk can be applied at CCD level (approximately 250 households), or at Street Segment level (approximately 15 - 20 households).
The price of appending GeoRisk to your database will depend on the volume of records you would like updated or whether you would like to license the variable for internal use and analysis. GeoRisk also comes at two levels of geography and your choice of geography will also affect the price.
GeoRisk is based on the entire Australian population, not a subset gathered by a single financial institution or collection agency. It is updated every quarter.
